Roles & Responsibilities

  • Active Connecticut professional license (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LPC) with ability to practice independently
  • Formal perinatal/peri/menopause mental health training or at least 1 year of clinical experience with pregnant/postpartum and/or peri/menopause patients
  • Proficiency with tele-therapy platforms and virtual care delivery
  • PMH-C Perinatal Mental Health Certification recommended but not required

  • Provide individual tele-therapy to patients using FamilyWell’s virtual platform
  • Conduct one-on-one psychological intakes for referred FamilyWell program patients, gathering comprehensive assessments to inform treatment planning
  • Document patient progress comprehensively, sharing treatment recommendations with medical providers, psychiatric consultants, and other treating professionals as needed
  • Facilitate treatment plan modifications for patients needing more intensive or specialized mental health care, and develop post-session Care Plans with actionable insights and follow-up steps

FamilyWell provides comprehensive virtual mental health services designed specifically for integration into OB/Gyn and Family Medicine practices utilizing the psychiatric collaborative care model. FamilyWell’s virtual care team model delivers evidence-based coaching, therapy, care coordination, and psychiatric services with specialized expertise in perinatal mental health and perimenopause/menopause. Role:

Location: Remote
Department: Care Operations
Reports to: Lead Therapist
Job type: Part-time, 10-30 hours per week as a 1099/contractor
Compensation: $80 per 60-minute session (inclusive of intake and follow-up) plus 2-hour allotment per month for administrative compensation

Patient Care & Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual tele-therapy to patients requesting regular sessions using FamilyWell’s virtual platform.
  • Conduct one-on-one psychological intakes for referred FamilyWell program patients, gathering comprehensive assessments to inform treatment planning.
  • Document patient progress comprehensively, sharing treatment recommendations with medical providers, psychiatric consultants, and other treating professionals as needed.
    Facilitate treatment plan modifications for patients needing more intensive or specialized mental health care, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
  • Develop and deliver Care Plans post-session, offering patients actionable insights and follow-up steps.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed mental health provider who holds an active license in CT. All applicants must be able to practice independently / without supervision.

Licensures that qualify include the following:

  •  Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
  •  Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  •  Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
  •  Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT)
  •  Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Experience:

  • Formal perinatal/peri/menopause mental health training or a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience working with pregnant and/or postpartum and/or peri/menopause patients is strongly preferred.

Preferred Certification:

  • Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International is recommended but not required.
  • Proof of certification in the treatment of the Peri/Menopause population is recommended but not required.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Passionate and driven to improve women’s mental healthcare delivery, especially for vulnerable patient populations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and innovative mental health solutions.
  • Proficiency with tele-therapy platforms and virtual care delivery.
