About the Role

Ortus Health is currently seeking a detail-oriented Remote Clinical Coder to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate coding of medical records and clinical data, which is essential for patient care, insurance reimbursement, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

As a Remote Clinical Coder, you will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure that all medical diagnoses, procedures, and treatments are coded accurately and in a timely manner. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and the opportunity to contribute to our mission of enhancing healthcare delivery through quality coding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse clinical documentation to accurately assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using classification systems.
  • Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify information and resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Stay updated with changes in coding practices and healthcare regulations.
  • Generate reports and summaries as needed for auditing and performance analysis.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to enhance coding skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in clinical coding within a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff.

Benefits

£25,400 per annum based full time hours.

Full-time, Part-time available (minimum 15 hours)
