Business Analyst - Middle

Overview:

SOFTSWISS is hiring a Middle Business Analyst to join our team and help transform business needs into clear, structured, and data-driven requirements for product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements

• Prepare and maintain non-functional requirements

• Define and document backend requirements, including system behavior and constraints

• Work with data-driven requirements, including data sources, metrics, KPIs, and calculation formulas

• Ensure correct understanding of data organization, data flow, and data lineage

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, QA, Data, and Analytics teams

• Support requirements clarification throughout the development lifecycle

• Participate in solution design discussions and ensure alignment with business goals

Required Experience:

• 2+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT or product teams

• Strong experience in documenting non-functional requirements

• Experience working with backend-related requirements

• Experience with data-based requirements, including: data sources metrics and KPIs calculation logic and formulas

• Basic SQL skills (ability to write simple queries for data validation and analysis)

• Understanding of data organization principles and data lineage

• English level B2+, both written and spoken

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Understanding of data transfer methods (e.g. REST API, integrations)

• Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau, Apache Superset, or similar platforms

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

• Basic understanding of system architecture and data platforms
