Roles & Responsibilities

  • 4+ years of experience as a B2B Account Executive in complex software sales with a proven hunter mentality and track record of acquiring new customers.
  • CPO/EVCI expertise or established network within the EV charging infrastructure industry, specifically with Charge Point Operators.
  • Strong technical savviness in Energy IoT and platform solutions, with ability to translate complex technologies into clear customer value propositions.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus) with excellent communication skills to engage senior executives and strategic stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Own and drive gridX’s expansion in the Charge Point Operator (CPO) segment across Europe; act as primary hunter, win strategic customers, build long-term partnerships, and align with Product and Leadership to scale the platform.
  • Define and execute the EVCI go-to-market strategy; lead pipeline development and forecasting, and report to Growth Management.
  • Lead large tenders and coordinate cross-functional teams (Product, Solution Engineering, Development, Legal, Finance) to create winning proposals.
  • Represent gridX as a thought leader at industry events and collaborate with Marketing to strengthen market presence and campaign planning.

The EV charging market is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the energy transition.
As our Senior Account Executive for EV Charging Infrastructure, you will own and shape gridX’s expansion in the Charge Point Operator (CPO) segment across Europe. Acting as our primary hunter, you will win strategic customers, build long-term partnerships and work closely with Product and Leadership to define how gridX scales in this rapidly evolving market.

Go-to-market, sales, acquisition:

  • Market Dominance: You will build and scale your own customer base, focusing specifically on acquiring and closing leading Charge Point Operators in mature European EV markets.
  • Strategy & Forecasting: You will lead the EVCI go-to-market strategy definition and execution; maintain and report on pipeline development to Growth Management.
  • Sales Excellence: You will apply structured methods and well-honed skills to acquire new customers by translating product features into customer value and acquisition.
  • Industry Presence: You will represent gridX as a thought leader at key industry events, trade fairs, and conferences and online platforms.

Collaboration with internal stakeholders:

  • Marketing: Work closely with Marketing to strengthen gridX’s market presence and support campaign planning and execution.  
  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Partner with customers to understand their strategic, operational and grid-integration challenges, and align with Product Management to map business outcomes through the evolution of our XENON platform.
  • Solution Engineering: Collaborate with gridX’s technical experts, analyze the scaling potential of potential CPO partners and define the right solution offering to meet their strategic, operational and technical needs.
  • Large Tender Leadership: Lead gridX’s participation in major tenders and coordinate across Product, Solution Engineering, Development, Legal and Finance to create winning proposals.
This is how you and your application stand out
We are looking for a hunter who understands the intersection of SaaS and hardware-agnostic energy management. 

  • Proven Sales Track Record: You have 4+ years of experience as an Account Executive in B2B complex software sales, with a clear hunter mentality and a proven track record of successfully acquiring new customers. You demonstrate strong business acumen and understand both internal and customer-side business cases.
  • CPO Expertise: Ideally, you bring an established network within the EVCI industry, specifically with Charge Point Operators.
  • Technical Savviness: You have a strong interest in Energy IoT and platform solutions and can translate complex technologies into clear value propositions for customers.
  • Communication: You are fluent in English (German is a plus) and are confident in communicating with senior executives and strategic stakeholders.
  • Mindset: You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and are eager to "make your mark" on the energy transition. You combine structured planning with strong execution, providing reliability for both internal and external stakeholders.
