The Senior EHS Professional plays a critical leadership role in advancing Henny Penny's safety culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, leading cross-functional initiatives, mentoring EHS staff, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. The role requires a proactive leader who can influence people at all levels, manage complex projects, and translate data into actionable insights.

What You'll Be Doing
Champion a proactive, incident-free workplace by identifying risks, implementing controls, and promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, procedures, and projects to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.
Lead serious incident investigations using root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) and oversee the development and execution of corrective/preventive actions.
Conduct and lead risk assessments, including ergonomic evaluations, hazard analyses, and job safety assessments.
Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
Lead internal compliance audits and guide teams in implementing corrective actions.
Manage and audit emergency response and business continuity plans.
Analyze data and trends to develop dashboards and reports that support executive decision-making.
Design and deliver advanced training programs on topics such as industrial hygiene, chemical safety, ergonomics, and fire prevention.
Lead GEMBA walks and safety observations in collaboration with operations teams.
Mentor and coach junior EHS staff and new hires, providing performance feedback and development support. Lead and manage EHS-related projects from planning through execution, including scope, schedule, risk, and resource management.
Represent the EHS department in cross-functional meetings, communicating KPIs, incident trends, and strategic initiatives.
Support the development of EHS KPIs, SMART goals, and continuous improvement strategies.
Consistently models the Company values and expected behaviors.

What We're Looking For
Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering or Related Field; or equivalent combination of experience required
Master of Science (M.S) Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or Related Field Preferred
5+ years Progressive EHS in a manufacturing environment Required
2+ years In a leadership role Required
Advanced knowledge of safety programs including LOTO, Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Machine Guarding, Hazard Communication, and more.
Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations, risk assessments, and regulatory inspections.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in EHS software systems and data tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, EHS platforms).
Certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or OSHA 30 preferred.
Experience implementing and maintaining Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles is required.
Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
