Requirements:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks Online, including syncing bank accounts, recording transactions, coding invoices to the correct accounts and projects, and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, track vendor invoices, payments, and outstanding balances, and maintain vendor/payment records for accurate reporting
  • Conduct financial record management and project costing for remodeling projects, including journal entries, cross-entity reconciliation, project cost tracking, and related documentation
  • Support month-end close and reporting, generate financial reports for leadership and external accountants, and provide data to the business owner and external accountant for tax preparation

Job Title: Remote Bookkeeper (100% Work From Home)


Location: Remote from Latin America


Position Type: Full-time


Salary: $1,500 - 1,800 USD/month depending on experience


Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Mountain Time


Job Overview:

Our client, a growing residential remodeling company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of the business.

This role will manage daily bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial record maintenance across two related remodeling brands. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively with both internal teams and external accountants, and has strong experience using QuickBooks Online.

This position is ideal for a bookkeeping professional who thrives in a fast-paced home services environment and enjoys bringing structure, accuracy, and reliability to financial operations.

Responsibilities

Daily Bookkeeping & Transaction Management

  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online
  • Sync banking accounts and match incoming transactions
  • Record financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records
  • Enter incoming invoices and ensure they are coded to the correct accounts and projects
  • Verify invoice amounts, payment terms, and documentation accuracy
  • Organize and manage bookkeeping-related email communications

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Track vendor invoices, payments, and outstanding balances
  • Maintain vendor and payment records to ensure accurate financial reporting

Financial Record Management

  • Create journal entries as needed to balance the chart of accounts
  • Transfer items between individual books or entities when necessary
  • Conduct regular audits of the chart of accounts to ensure financial accuracy
  • Ensure cross-entity accounts match and remain properly reconciled

Project Costing & Financial Tracking

  • Cost out projects once completed and ensure financial records reflect accurate project performance
  • Maintain financial documentation related to projects and vendor activity
  • Support reporting and tracking of financial metrics including:
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Profit & Loss (P&L)

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Support and execute month-end closing processes
  • Balance accounts and verify financial data
  • Ensure project and vendor records are accurate and complete
  • Generate financial reports for internal leadership and external accountants

Financial Coordination

  • Communicate regularly with the business owner and external accountant
  • Provide financial data, documentation, and reports needed for accounting and tax preparation
  • Assist with improving bookkeeping processes as the business grows


Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies

  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (non-negotiable)
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping
  • Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work independently and manage financial records with accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in home services industries such as:
  • residential remodeling
  • construction
  • home improvement
  • kitchen or bathroom remodeling
  • Experience working with US-based companies
  • Previous experience supporting Re-Bath franchises or similar remodeling businesses
