Location: Remote from Latin America
Position Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Eastern Time but flexibility can be provided
Job Overview:
Our client is a private equity-backed, multi-branch services platform operating in the skilled trades sector. The company is focused on scalable growth through operational excellence and strategic acquisitions. With active sponsor involvement and a strong expansion strategy, the organization is building a high-performance finance function to support rapid growth, M&A activity, and integration initiatives.
The Director of Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis (FPRA) will serve as the strategic finance leader responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analytics across a growing multi-site operation.
This role owns the financial narrative of the business — delivering clear, data-driven insights to executive leadership and the private equity sponsor. The ideal candidate combines strong technical FP&A capabilities with operational partnership skills and experience in PE-backed or multi-location environments.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budget, rolling forecast, and long-range planning processes
- Build and maintain driver-based financial models tied to volume, labor productivity, pricing, service mix, and overhead
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly and weekly reporting packages with detailed variance analysis and actionable insights
- Develop and manage dashboards and KPIs across branches (revenue by service line, gross margin, labor utilization, technician productivity, backlog, SG&A leverage, cash conversion, etc.)
- Translate financial performance into clear executive and board-level presentations, highlighting trade-offs and recommendations
- Continuously improve FP&A processes, templates, planning calendars, and data integrity
Operational Business Partnering
- Partner with Operations leaders to identify performance gaps and quantify improvement opportunities
- Track pricing initiatives, labor planning, dispatch efficiency, cost reduction efforts, and productivity improvements
- Align operational metrics with EBITDA and cash flow performance
M&A & Integration
- Support acquisition efforts through financial modeling, analytical diligence, and quality-of-earnings assessment
- Evaluate recurring vs. project revenue, customer concentration, margin sustainability, and working capital dynamics
- Develop post-close integration scorecards and 30/60/90-day performance tracking
- Track synergy initiatives (procurement, pricing, fleet, insurance, back office, systems) and report progress to leadership and sponsor
Reporting & Controls (PE Environment)
- Establish robust reporting processes and internal controls suitable for lender and sponsor scrutiny
- Manage multiple reporting views (GAAP financials, sponsor-adjusted EBITDA bridges, operational KPIs)
- Partner closely with Accounting/Controller to ensure alignment between actuals and financial models
- Maintain transparency, consistency, and reconcilability across reporting outputs
Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:
- 8–10+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience
- Experience in services, construction trades, multi-site operations, or PE-backed environments strongly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and executive reporting
- Experience supporting M&A and post-merger integration finance workstreams
- Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel) with ability to build driver-based models
- Strong data and BI capability (Power BI, Tableau, ERP reporting systems preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to influence operational leaders using financial insights
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required
- MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred
Success in the First 90–180 Days
- Implement a consistent monthly reporting and forecast cadence trusted by leadership and sponsor
- Standardize KPI definitions across branches and acquired entities
- Launch a dashboard linking operational drivers to EBITDA and cash flow
- Establish integration performance tracking and synergy governance framework
Location & Flexibility
This position may be based in a company office or remote, depending on business needs and candidate preferences. Ideally, the candidate will be able to travel often to the company offices for meetings and other events as needed.
