Job Title: Remote Operations Manager (100% Work From Home)
Location: Remote from Latin America
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $1,300 - 1,600 USD/month depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Eastern Time, 1hr unpaid lunch break
Job Overview
Our client is a growing U.S.-based self-storage business focused on building efficient, scalable operations across multiple facilities. Their goal is to remove ownership from daily execution by creating strong systems, clear processes, and exceptional tenant experiences. They emphasize automation, documentation, and thoughtful use of technology to support long-term growth and expansion.
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee 80–90% of the day-to-day operations of their self-storage portfolio. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designed to take full ownership of operational tasks, tenant communication, vendor coordination, and system management.
Success in this role means the Operations Manager can independently run daily operations, allowing ownership to focus on strategy, acquisitions, and growth.
Responsibilities:
Tenant Operations & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants
- Handle inbound and outbound communication via email, messaging, and phone
- Make proactive outbound phone calls related to billing issues, reminders, and follow-ups
- Track, manage, and resolve tenant issues through completion
- Apply established communication standards and escalate exceptions only when necessary
Systems & Technology
- Administer the storage management platform (unit management, billing, reporting)
- Maintain operational workflows, checklists, and controls
- Assist with implementation of new tools, automations, and AI-assisted workflows
- Collaborate with ownership to continuously improve operational efficiency
SOP Creation & Documentation
- Document existing processes clearly and thoroughly
- Create new standard operating procedures (SOPs) as systems evolve
- Maintain a centralized and up-to-date SOP library
- Ensure procedures are followed consistently
Vendor & Facility Coordination
- Communicate with vendors and service providers
- Schedule maintenance and repairs
- Track open issues and confirm resolution
- Maintain organized vendor records and contacts
Financial & Administrative Support
- Support basic bookkeeping workflows (documentation, categorization, coordination)
- Prepare operational inputs for financial reporting
- Maintain organized records and administrative documentation
Marketing Support (Outreach & Coordination)
- Support ownership-led marketing initiatives through research, list building, coordination, and follow-ups
- Assist with outreach to local businesses, partners, and referral sources
- Track outreach activity and responses
- Coordinate execution logistics with ownership and marketing partners
- This role is not responsible for content ideation or creative development
