  • Produce visually appealing email layouts and assets using AI-enhanced design tools; leverage AI to improve copywriting, idea generation, segmentation, and workflow automation
  • Conduct A/B tests across subject lines, send times, messaging angles, formats, and design variations; identify opportunities based on data and performance trends

Senior Email & Retention Marketer (AI‑Driven / Klaviyo)

Outsource Ability, on behalf of our client, is seeking an exceptional Senior Email & Retention Marketer to join their fast‑growing, highly profitable UK-based supplement brand.

This role is ideal for a data‑driven, design‑savvy operator who leverages AI to significantly scale output and performance. The successful candidate must be capable of leading email and SMS marketing independently, with a strong focus on new customer acquisition and subscription retention.

Overview

The Senior Email & Retention Marketer will be responsible for driving acquisition, boosting subscription retention, and delivering high‑performing email and SMS campaigns. This includes newsletters, onboarding sequences, abandoned‑cart flows, subscription‑based automations, and behaviour‑driven journeys.

We are not seeking someone who does things the old way or someone stretched across multiple brands. This position requires a focused operator who consistently uses AI to multiply their output, enhance design, and optimise workflows. If you are not using AI to 10x your performance, this role is not for you.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Acquisition & Subscriptions

  • Build automated sequences including high‑converting welcome flows, abandoned‑cart journeys, retention funnels, and subscription‑first email flows.
  • Create strategies specifically designed to convert cold leads into first‑time buyers and buyers into ongoing monthly subscribers.

AI‑Powered Execution

  • Produce visually appealing email layouts, creative assets, and graphics using AI‑enhanced design tools.
  • Confidently use AI to improve copywriting, idea generation, segmentation, and workflow automation.

Campaign Management

  • Plan, build, deploy, and optimise campaigns in Klaviyo (or OmniSend).
  • Deliver newsletters, promotional campaigns, and lifecycle automations that consistently meet revenue targets.

Relentless Optimisation

  • Conduct A/B tests across subject lines, send times, messaging angles, formats, and design variations.
  • Continuously identify improvement opportunities based on data, segmentation, and performance trends.

Compliance & List Hygiene

  • Maintain accurate, clean, and GDPR‑compliant email lists.
  • Ensure strong deliverability and list health at all times.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in email marketing within e‑commerce.
  • Direct experience in supplements or subscription‑based e‑commerce is a major advantage.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in Klaviyo or OmniSend.
  • Deep understanding of lifecycle marketing, retention, and deliverability.
  • Excellent written communication skills in British English.
  • Strong grasp of direct‑response copywriting principles and offer psychology.
  • Confident user of AI tools for content, design, optimisation, and automation.

Mandatory Remote Work Requirements

As this is a fast‑paced remote position, candidates must have:

  • Their own laptop and headset, capable of running productivity and marketing software efficiently.
  • A reliable power supply (solar, UPS, or inverter) to ensure uninterrupted workflow — load‑shedding cannot be used as an excuse for missed deadlines.
  • A stable, high‑speed internet connection, suitable for cloud‑based applications and real‑time communication.
