Genesis10 is currently seeking a Paralegal - Remote position with a Major Financial Institution located in New York, NY. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.
Compensation: $53.00 - 57.44 per hour, W2
This role will work within the Legal Department for the Trade Transaction Management group, with a primary focus on supporting the bank's derivatives business. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end process associated with the negotiation and execution of collateral assignment agreements for derivative transactions.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate the review and exchange of documentation both with internal attorneys and external counsel
Review, negotiate, and process collateral assignment agreements associated with the bank's interest rate caps business
Review and develop procedures as needed to improve the documentation process
Manage correspondence between clients, front office, advisors, brokers and external counsel
Track the progress of agreements, manage the flow of new agreements requested for review, and ensure documentation is complete at execution
Requirements:
3-5 years minimum experience as a paralegal working with law firms or financial services companies supporting legal teams and documentation
Ability to manage a high volume of transactions with competing deadlines
Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure, operate comfortably in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and manage a significant workload
Ability to think creatively and propose solutions
Desired skills:
Familiarity with collateral assignment agreements and derivative transactions is a plus
