Job description

This is a remote position.

This client provides marketing services to independent professionals and brands in the automotive detailing community with a trustworthy and knowledgeable voice — helping their partners feel empowered and successful in their own goals. Their X-factor is that they deliver an effortless marketing experience.

Their flagship product, RPM (Relationship Performance Management), is a fully built CRM and automation engine on GoHighLevel — purpose-built for ceramic coating, PPF, window tint, detailing, and mobile shops. RPM includes 50+ automations, 450+ pre-written messages, service-specific pipelines, reactivation sequences, and integrations with tools like Urable and Zapier. It removes the mental load of customer communication so shop owners can focus on the work in front of them.

The Role

They are looking for a GoHighLevel Systems Specialist who lives and breathes automation. This is not a "set it and forget it" role. They need someone who is equally comfortable building, breaking, testing, and improving — and who can bring fresh ideas to the table without being asked twice.
You'll be the technical backbone of RPM — responsible for managing GoHighLevel configurations, building new automations, connecting third-party tools via APIs and Zapier, diagnosing issues, and occasionally working directly with shop owner partners. If you love systems, hate broken workflows, and get excited when an integration finally clicks, this role is for you.

You Will Love This Job If...
  • You love taking a blank slate and building streamlined systems that run on autopilot, while documenting as you go.

  • You’re naturally organized, self-directed, and thrive when given ownership over a project from vision to execution.

  • You enjoy collaborating across teams and using automation to solve real business problems, not just technical puzzles.

  • You can talk to small-business clients on occasion and genuinely enjoy developing solutions to their problems.

You Will Dislike This Job If...
  • You need a task list handed to you every day — this role is for someone who takes initiative on their own without being prompted.

  • You prefer to work alone — we are a collaborative environment and that’s not going to change.

Responsibilities
GoHighLevel Automation & Build
  • Build, configure, document, and maintain 50+ automations within GoHighLevel including workflows, triggers, smart lists, tags, pipelines, and branching logic.

  • Create and deploy new automation sequences for lead follow-up, reactivation, review requests, referrals, and retention campaigns.

  • Manage sub-account environments, snapshots, and RPM system configurations for onboarding new shop partners.

  • Configure and test IVR phone systems, 2-way SMS, and email sending sequences including DKIM/DNS setup and 45-day warmup protocols.

  • Build and maintain service-specific pipelines for Ceramic Coating, PPF, Window Tint, and Detailing verticals.

API & Third-Party Integrations
  • Connect and manage integrations between GoHighLevel (RPM) and third-party tools including n8n, Zapier, and other platforms using webhooks and REST APIs.

  • Build webhook-based deal signal flows that trigger GHL pipeline stage transitions based on external system events.

  • Configure bi-directional contact sync between RPM and shop management systems (e.g., Urable, OrbisX, other GHL instances) including field mapping and conflict resolution logic.

  • Maintain Zapier workflows connecting website forms to RPM pipelines — including DR website integrations for form-to-pipeline routing.

  • Document all integrations with clear field mapping specs, error-handling notes, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Research and evaluate new integration opportunities that could expand RPM's capabilities for shop partners.

QA, Diagnostics & Issue Resolution
  • Diagnose and resolve automation failures, broken triggers, delivery issues (SMS/email), and integration errors in active client accounts.

  • Execute systematic testing of all new automations before deployment — including edge cases, timing logic, and branching conditions.

  • Monitor email health, deliverability, and sending reputation; coordinate with partners on warmup compliance and spam issue remediation.

  • Raise proactive concerns when system configurations create risk for clients — you're expected to catch issues before they become problems.

  • Maintain a bug log and resolution documentation for recurring issues across RPM accounts.

Ideation & Continuous Improvement
  • Actively identify and pitch new automation ideas, GHL feature opportunities, and system enhancements that improve outcomes for RPM partners.

  • Stay current on GoHighLevel platform updates, new features, and best practices — bring relevant changes back to the team before they become missed opportunities.

  • Collaborate with leadership on the 5–8 new automations added to RPM annually, contributing both ideas and execution.

  • Document standard operating procedures for new builds and integrations to support team scalability.

Partner-Facing Support (Occasional)
  • Jump in on client-facing support when technical depth is needed — explain system behavior, walk through configurations, and resolve escalated issues directly with shop partners.

  • Participate in onboarding sessions as needed to handle technical setup, integration connections, and system configuration walkthroughs.

  • Represent the RPM product with confidence and clarity — you know it well enough to answer the hard questions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on GoHighLevel experience — building workflows, automations, pipelines, smart lists, triggers, and sub-account configurations.

  • Demonstrated experience connecting tools via REST APIs and webhooks — you can read API documentation, map fields, and configure data flows without hand-holding.

  • Proficiency with Zapier — multi-step zaps, conditional logic, filters, formatters, and error handling.

  • Strong systematic troubleshooting ability — you approach broken automations like a detective, not a guesser.

  • Experience with SMS and email deliverability best practices including domain authentication, warmup protocols, and compliance awareness (TCPA/CAN-SPAM/CTIA).

  • Solid documentation habits — you write clear specs, build notes, and SOPs that others can actually follow.

  • Comfortable communicating with clients when needed — you can explain technical things in plain language without talking down to people.

Nice to Have
  • Background in working with small, local businesses such as automotive detailing, PPF, ceramic coating, or tint industries.

  • Familiarity with GHL Agency/SaaS mode and white-label sub-account management.

  • Experience building or managing AI workflow automations inside GHL.

  • Exposure to marketing agency environments or multi-client SaaS operations.
