Job description

Status: Full-time, Long-term Engagement
Location: 100% Remote
Setup: Independent Contractor / B2B Service Agreement
Schedule: Daytime schedule

Key Responsibilities

Automation: Build, scale, and maintain test automation frameworks (Cypress or similar). Write and integrate automated tests for UI, APIs, and services into the CI/CD pipeline.
Testing: Execute both automated and manual tests (smoke, regression, exploratory) across frontend and backend. Perform detailed API testing (e.g., Postman).
Quality: Find, document, and analyze defects. Champion QA best practices, continuously improving test coverage, reliability, and engineering processes.
Collaboration: Work directly with developers to define acceptance criteria, discuss testability, and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

What you Bring

3–6 years of QA Engineering experience with a strong automation background.
Deep understanding of test automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.).
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or a scripting language (Python/Java).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Strong API testing knowledge (Postman, REST, JSON, API mocking/stubbing).
A solid grasp of SDLC, testing methodologies, and quality engineering principles.
Familiarity with performance testing, visual regression testing, and accessibility tools.
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for clean, maintainable automation code.
A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and ownership mentality.
