  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 8-12 years of product pricing experience, preferably in cybersecurity or technology, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to build data-driven models in Excel (scenario analysis) and experience with MS Office; experience with PowerBI and SQL; familiarity with pricing software/tools is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels; cross-functional project management and leadership capability

Requirements:

  • Design and implement innovative pricing models to achieve Barracuda’s strategic targets and improve profitability
  • Set targets for pricing initiatives, monitor performance against them, and develop new reporting capabilities and metrics where none exist
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to ensure pricing strategies are communicated and effectively implemented
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and buying behavior to inform pricing decisions while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Pricing Strategy to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that maximize profitability, drive revenue growth, and enhance our competitive position in the market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Sales, Finance, and Marketing, to ensure our pricing strategies align with overall business objectives.

 Tech Stack  
  • Must have experience in Excel ideally capable of building models and carrying out scenario analysis 
  • Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word & Outlook)  
  • Ideally also PowerBI, SQL and experience with business intelligence systems 
 
What you'll be working on 
  • We’re at a critical stage in Barracuda’s journey where existing ways of doing business are being challenged and this role will be critical in helping to make smart decisions that have a lasting impact on Barracuda’s growth journey 
  • Achieve Barracuda’s strategic targets by designing and implementing innovative pricing models; cut through uncertainty and ambiguity to define and execute structures that will win in the market 
  • Set targets and goals around pricing initiatives, monitor performance against those targets and report out on them; this includes developing new reporting capabilities and metrics where none currently exist 
  • Understanding how to identify, validate and solve market problems by using tools such as market research and/or competitive analysis as appropriate 
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively communicated and implemented 
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and buying behavior to inform pricing decisions and enhance customer satisfaction 
  • Ensure all pricing activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements 
 
What you bring to the role 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in product pricing, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology industry 
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability 
  • Ability to manage complex projects cross-functionally 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions including building out regular reporting capability using tools such as PowerBI 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels 
  • Experience with pricing software and tools is a plus 
  • Project team management skills, with a collaborative and strategic mindset. Ability provide leadership for project teams towards implementing the pricing solution you design 
  • Self-starter, passionate about technology, and excited to learn something new

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $220,000. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
