Requirements:

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) and coach teams on Agile best practices to improve delivery predictability, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary JIRA Administrator; configure and manage JIRA boards, workflows, dashboards, and reports; ensure transparency and progress visibility to stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with customers and stakeholders; translate business requirements into well-prioritized backlog items; identify and escalate scope changes, risks, and dependencies; negotiate with product owners and client stakeholders.
  • Remove impediments, coordinate cross-team dependencies, ensure technical readiness with architects and engineering leads, define acceptance criteria and Definition of Done, and support release planning and production readiness activities.

Job description

This is a remote position.

Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master who will act as the primary JIRA Administrator for the team. The ideal candidate must possess strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to negotiate and align effectively with product owners and client stakeholders. Prior development experience is strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities

Agile Facilitation

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

  • Coach the team and Product Owner on Agile best practices to improve delivery predictability and quality.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and healthy team dynamics.

JIRA Administration & Process Management

  • Act as the primary JIRA Administrator for the team.

  • Configure and manage JIRA boards, workflows, dashboards, and reports aligned with agreed processes.

  • Ensure transparency and visibility of project progress to stakeholders through effective tracking and reporting.

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

  • Maintain clear and continuous communication with customers and stakeholders.

  • Translate business requirements into well-prioritized backlog items.

  • Proactively identify and escalate scope changes, risks, and cross-team dependencies.

  • Frequently engage in negotiation and alignment discussions with product owners and client stakeholders.

Delivery & Execution Support

  • Remove impediments that block team progress.

  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and escalate when boundary or scope changes are required.

  • Collaborate with architects and engineering leads to ensure technical readiness of backlog items.

  • Ensure acceptance criteria and Definition of Done are clearly defined and understood.

  • Support release planning, deployment coordination, and production readiness activities.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report key Agile metrics including velocity trends, sprint predictability, escape defects, lead time, and cycle time.

  • Analyze trends and propose data-driven improvement actions.

  • Mentor teams to enhance Agile maturity and influence product and engineering leadership decisions.
