Job Role: Bookkeeper

Compensation range: $1,700 AUD - $2,200 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is:

Role Overview: An opportunity exists for an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join the company, supporting multiple business entities within the group. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping function, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Receivable, while ensuring accurate and timely financial records across all entities.

This position will initially report directly to the Business Owner and work closely with the existing Accounts Team

Key Responsibilities: 

    • Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
    • Drive receivables management, including invoicing, debtor follow-ups and cash collection
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across multiple entities
    • Perform bank and account reconciliations
    • Support month-end processes and reporting requirements
    • Process supplier invoices and payment runs
    • Ensure compliance with internal processes and Australian accounting standards
    • Provide general administrative support as required
    • Liaise professionally with internal stakeholders and external clients

Requirements

  • Demonstrated bookkeeping experience, ideally within multi-entity or group structures
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero
  • Solid understanding of Australian accounting practices
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with professional written and verbal skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and capable of working autonomously
  • Strong all-round administrative capability

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
