About the Client:
Our Client offers Personalized consulting services that enable Michigan manufacturers to work smarter, compete and prosper. They develop more effective business leaders, drive product and process innovation, promote company-wide operational excellence and foster creative strategies for business growth and greater profitability.

SUMMARY:
The Business Solutions Manager, Outside Sales, serves as an advisor to develop and maintain client relationships. The transactions generated by this individual result in client engagements ranging from services related to business growth, technology implementation, productivity improvement to organizational (culture) development.

TERRITORY: 
Traverse City, MI and surrounding areas 
Regional and local daytime travel is required 50-75% of the time.
This position is eligible for remote work.

Essential Functions:

  • Work independently to actively pursue and generate new sales leads, as well as develop and maintain client and partner relationships.
  • Interact with and understand client’s business and technical requirements.
  • Develop client proposals and supporting documentation.
  • Partner closely with client to schedule and deliver sales commitments.
  • Lead and conduct Lead Opportunity Assessments, provide observations and recommendations to clients (approximately 1 day/week)
  • Update and maintain client information in CRM.

The position frequently works with the public. There are occasional hazardous situations and ventilation issues customary to what is found in a manufacturing environment. The work environment occasionally has high noise and variable temperatures and may be outside.

Required knowledge, skills, education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related field preferred, equivalent certification and/or experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of business development experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector selling engineering and manufacturing-related consulting services
  • Ability to pursue, develop and close new business opportunities.
  • Strong ability to work with the client to evaluate objectives and recommend business solutions and improvements 
  • Experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  

Compensation:
Base salary: $93,000 + bonus opportunities
