Job description

Contract | Civil 3D Designer – Mass Grading & Linear Projects (Remote, EST)

Oxford Solutions is seeking a Civil 3D Designer to support civil engineering projects for energy-focused clients.

This is a fully remote role within the U.S., operating on Eastern Time hours. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Civil 3D experience, with a strong background in mass grading and linear projects such as access roads and pad grading.

This role works collaboratively with a team of designers and engineers to produce high-quality drawings, permits, and construction packages while ensuring compliance with client standards.

Responsibilities

Support civil engineering projects through all aspects of CAD design
Prepare detailed design drawings, permits, and construction document packages
Develop new drawings from templates or from scratch, including title blocks and borders
Create and modify drawing blocks, borders, and title blocks
Perform advanced mass grading and linear design for access roads and pad grading
Apply advanced Civil 3D techniques and promote best practices within the design team
Utilize model space and paper space scaling effectively
Apply styles, formatting, plot profiles, and user profiles within CAD software
Create and manage Civil 3D elements including surfaces, grading, volumes, corridors, assemblies, and profiles
Provide direction for compiling, collating, assembling, and verifying drawing and document packages
Coordinate with engineers and other CAD staff to complete projects efficiently
Ensure all drawings meet established client and project standards

Qualifications

3-5 years of hands-on Civil 3D design experience
Strong experience with mass grading and linear projects
Associate Degree from an accredited technical school or equivalent practical experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Advanced understanding of CAD standards, styles, and workflows
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills
Valid driver’s license
