Job description

Bookkeeper
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support the accounting needs of a portfolio
of clients, primarily within the dental sector. The role will involve maintaining accurate
financial records using Xero, supporting the preparation of management accounts, and
liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain information.
Following an initial settling-in period, the successful candidate will work closely with clients to
ensure bookkeeping records are complete and up to date.

Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Records
● Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients using Xero.
● Process and reconcile transactions including bank accounts, sales, and purchase
ledgers.
● Assist with bookkeeping for clients with multiple companies within a group
structure.

Management Accounts
● Prepare quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
● Support the preparation of management information for other clients where required.

Client Communication
● Liaise directly with clients to:
○ Request missing information or documentation
○ Resolve bookkeeping or Xero-related queries
○ Ensure financial records remain up to date and accurate

Year-End Support

● Assist with the preparation of working papers for year-end accounts where
required.

Skills & Experience
Essential
● Strong bookkeeping experience
● Experience using Xero
● Ability to manage bookkeeping for multiple clients
● Experience preparing or assisting with management accounts
● Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
● Comfortable communicating directly with clients

Desirable
● Experience preparing working paper files for year-end accounts
● Exposure to tax matters (personal or corporate)
