As an Interconnect Product Manager, you will lead the strategic, commercial, and technical direction of harness programs within the aerospace and defense sector. You will act as the business owner for assigned programs, ensuring long-term competitiveness, strong customer relationships, and profitable growth.

This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers to drive flawless execution across the full program lifecycle - from proposal development through delivery and performance tracking.

Your impact will be measured by revenue growth, margin performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

About the Job:

  • Lead the harness business with key aerospace and defense customers to ensure sustainable growth and competitiveness.

  • Own revenue, profitability, and overall P&L performance of assigned programs.

  • Define program vision, objectives, and commercial targets aligned with business strategy.

  • Lead proposal development, including technical coordination, costing, and pricing strategy.

  • Develop negotiation strategies and support complex customer and supplier agreements.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, SCM, Logistics, Finance, Operations, Management) to ensure on-time delivery and KPI achievement.

  • Drive operational excellence by implementing standardized processes and optimizing workflows.

  • Ensure transparency through governance meetings, milestone tracking, and reliable reporting.

  • Conduct technical and financial analysis, including scenario modeling and risk mitigation planning.

  • Monitor schedule adherence, quality performance, supplier performance, and program risks throughout the lifecycle.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across program sites.

  • Provide product and market insights to development teams based on customer needs and industry trends.

  • Travel approximately 50%, primarily within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

About You:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience managing customized, customer-specific products, ideally harnesses or complex electromechanical systems.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams from opportunity stage through delivery.

  • Strong understanding of sales, engineering, supply chain, logistics, and controlling processes for engineered-to-order products.

  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and margin tracking (P&L exposure).

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to align technical and commercial stakeholders.

  • Fluent in German and English.

  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), ERP systems, and project management tools.

  • Familiarity with aerospace qualification standards (e.g., EN 9100, EASA Part 21G/145) is considered a strong asset.

  • Analytical and strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
