  • Knowledge of payroll processing and relevant tax laws related to accounts payable and receivable

  • Record transactions (invoices and payments) in accounting software or spreadsheets and reconcile bank statements
  • Process payroll, including taxes and deductions, and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Prepare regular financial statements and assist budgeting by providing timely financial insights to management

Job Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accounting clerk with solid knowledge of bookkeeping principles. 
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis. 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and financial calculations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and relevant tax laws related to accounts payable and receivable.

Core responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Record transactions like invoices and payments in accounting software or spreadsheets to ensure data accuracy. 
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts to confirm transaction accuracy and completeness.
  • Process accounts payable invoices, verify their accuracy, and ensure timely vendor payments. 
  • Generate and follow up on client invoices, managing accounts receivable aging for timely collections. 
  • Calculate and process employee payroll, including all applicable taxes and deductions, while maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare regular financial statements and assist in budgeting by providing timely financial insights to management.
