Senior XML Engineer

Work condition: Part -time, 3+ months duration 
Customer Description:
The customer is a content services company specializing in technical documentation, structured content, and digital publishing solutions.
The company focuses on DITA-based content development, XML workflows, and enterprise content transformation, helping organizations modernize documentation processes and optimize multi-channel publishing.
Project Phase: Ongoing

Hard Skills / Must Have:
• Strong experience with DITA Open Toolkit (DITA-OT)
• Advanced knowledge of XSLT
• Experience with PDF publishing workflows
• Experience with AEM Guides Native PDF
• Solid understanding of XML structure and schema
• Experience customizing DITA transformations and PDF outputs
• Troubleshooting and debugging publishing pipelines
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
• Understanding of automated build and deployment processes

Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Configure and customize DITA-OT publishing pipelines
• Develop and maintain XSLT transformations
• Manage and optimize PDF publishing workflows
• Work with AEM Guides Native PDF if applicable
• Debug and resolve XML/DITA transformation issues
• Collaborate with content teams and stakeholders to ensure publishing accuracy
• Ensure output quality and formatting consistency
• Support improvements in publishing automation and performance
• Provide technical input once the detailed role scope is defined
