Oracle MDM (Meter Data Management) Techno-Functional Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle MDM Techno-Functional Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of expertise in Meter Data Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical and functional skills, with at least 2 MDM implementations completed successfully in the Power, Water, or Gas domain. This role requires the ability to understand client requirements, document solutions, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to deliver high-quality MDM solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. MDM Implementation:
   

   • Lead end-to-end MDM implementations in the Power, Water, or Gas domain, leveraging your expertise in Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management.
     

2. Requirements Analysis:
   

   • Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and facilitate discussions to clarify and document these needs.
     

3. Design and Documentation:
   

   • Create External Design Documents and conceptual solutions in MDM based on client requirements, ensuring that proposed solutions align with business objectives.
     

4. MDM Functional Knowledge:
   

   • Possess a deep understanding of MDM areas, including VEE Rules, Device Management, Usage Management, Measuring Components, Device Events, Device Communication, Usage Subscription, Time of Use (TOU), Interval Meter Data (IMD), and XML formats.
     

5. Certification:
   

   • Hold a certification in Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management to demonstrate your expertise.
     

6. Development and Customization:
   

   • Develop and customize solutions using Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and Java.
     
   • Write effective custom programs, modify software enhancements and interfaces, debug issues, and provide timely solutions.
     

7. Integration and Web Services:
   

   • Work on integration projects with systems like HES (Head End System) and CCB (Customer Care and Billing).
     
   • Develop and maintain MDM batches, web services, and algorithms.
     

8. Quality Assurance:
   

   • Write unit test cases, execute unit test scripts, and document expected and actual results within specified timeframes.
     
   • Follow version control and coding standards to ensure high-quality code.
     

9. Risk Assessment and Performance Improvement:
   

   • Identify and articulate program design and performance risks, providing recommendations for improved system performance.
     

10. Documentation and Support:
    

    • Prepare release and maintenance documentation for custom solutions.
      
    • Provide support and guidance to other team members as needed.
      

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle MDM Techno-Functional Consultant.
  
• Proven experience in at least 2 successful end-to-end MDM implementations in Power, Water, or Gas domains.
  
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management, including VEE Rules, Device Management, Usage Management, and related modules.
  
• Certification in Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management.
  
• Proficiency in development using Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and Java.
  
• Experience with integration, web services, and custom program development.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
