  • Coordinate externships when required and maintain communication with placement sites, and work with employers to convert externships into long-term job opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cannabis industry employers, generate job leads aligned with graduate skill sets, provide responsive employer support, collect employer feedback, maintain an employer database, and participate in advisory discussions related to evolving industry hiring needs

Job description

This is a remote position.

Sole Hire, LLC is seeking a motivated and student-focused Career Services Advisor to support learners preparing for careers in the rapidly growing legalized cannabis industry. This role plays a key part in helping graduates transition from training programs into meaningful employment across cultivation, compliance, retail operations, extraction, product development, and more.

You’ll serve as the primary bridge between students, graduates, and cannabis industry employers—providing hands-on career support, cultivating employer relationships, and ensuring graduates are equipped to succeed in this dynamic field.

Key Responsibilities


Graduate Support
• Guide graduates through their job search after program completion
• Actively market qualified graduates to cannabis industry employers
• Track and verify employment placement outcomes
• Maintain consistent communication with graduates to support their career progress
• Provide resume coaching, interview preparation, and job search guidance



Student Development
• Deliver engaging Career Development workshops, both online and virtual
• Assist students in creating strong resumes, portfolios, and professional documents
• Conduct exit interviews and collect needed student information prior to graduation
• Coordinate externships when required and maintain communication with placement sites
• Work with employers to help convert externships into long-term job opportunities



Employer Engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cannabis industry employers
• Generate job leads aligned with graduate skill sets
• Provide responsive support to employers seeking qualified candidates
• Collect employer feedback to ensure continuous improvement
• Maintain a comprehensive and organized employer database
• Participate in advisory discussions related to evolving industry hiring needs




Requirements


Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in career services, staffing, recruiting, or business development
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with CRM or student management systems is a plus
