Senior Mechanical Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take on the role of Lead Engineer within one of our project teams. This is a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of a high-profile engineering project, ensuring it meets time, cost, and quality requirements.

As the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, you will assess and address customer requests, plan for successful project delivery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all engineering activities for a large customer project, including design tasks, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
  

• Collaborate with the Principal Technical Lead Engineer and cross-functional teams to assess and deliver engineering outputs.
  

• Act as the confident point of contact for customers, addressing engineering-related queries and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  

• Oversee the delivery of the project engineering solution, ensuring it meets time, cost, and quality targets.
  

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
  
  What We’re Looking For
  

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with significant experience in a similar role.
  

• Proven experience managing complex engineering projects, ideally within the aerospace or defence sectors.
  

• Strong technical expertise in mechanical design and development, with a focus on electro-mechanical systems.
  

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently engage with customers and internal teams.
  

• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
