Roles & Responsibilities

10+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer with strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript stacks (Node.js, ReactJS, Next.js) and related technologies.
Hands-on expertise with AWS and its services (Route53, Load Balancer, ECS, Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, S3, CloudFront) and containerization (Docker) with Kubernetes exposure.
Proven leadership experience, including leading small development teams and collaborating with solution architects, product managers, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders.
Strong system design and problem-solving skills across Microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), OOP/AOP; proficient in RESTful APIs (GraphQL a plus); excellent English communication; experience in international environments.

Requirements:

Architect and lead Node.js/TypeScript backend and frontend systems (ReactJS/VueJS), driving best practices and innovative processes across frontend and backend stacks.
Empower and lead solution architects, Scrum Masters, and development teams to deliver high-quality backend systems for global clients; mentor and grow small teams of developers.
Collaborate with product and stakeholders to gather requirements, define roadmaps, and translate them into actionable delivery plans; ensure alignment with business goals.
Shape and influence the technical direction at Slash, evangelize modern technologies (AWS, microservices, serverless), and drive continuous learning, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

What Sets You Apart:

Experience in a startup in a leadership position is a definite plus.
Mastery of automated testing frameworks. And an affinity for Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a good plus.
Adeptness in event-driven concepts, crowned by hands-on experience with AWS SQS/SNS, or other message bus: Kafka, Active MQ, or RabbitMQ.
Design sensibilities spanning Microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP).
Strong in troubleshooting and solving technical problems, and able to work under pressure.
Experience in deploying and maintaining high availability applications.
Docker mastery, and a nod to Kubernetes expertise.
AWS wizardry, from configuration and deployment to CI/CD mastery.
Proficiency in Linux server configuration and troubleshooting.
A ceaseless curiosity for emerging technologies such as ReactJS, NextJS, Flutter, ExpressJS, MongoDB, Serverless architectures, Machine Learning, and Blockchain.
