Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to support our client’s expansion into the financial services sector. This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in regulatory compliance within financial services, fintech, or crypto-focused companies. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to strengthen the organization’s compliance framework, including spearheading the process of acquiring an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).

The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and has a proven record of navigating compliance frameworks in regulated industries. Experience working with Web3, crypto assets, or blockchain-based financial services is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

Lead the application and acquisition process for an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).
Design, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures.
Build and promote a strong compliance culture across the business.
Establish a risk-based compliance framework aligned with business objectives.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage regulatory relationships.
Oversee compliance monitoring and reporting, ensuring timely updates to leadership.
Develop training materials and deliver compliance training programs to internal teams.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable financial, regulatory, and cryptocurrency laws in Australia and internationally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

5+ years of experience in compliance roles, ideally within fintech, crypto, or financial services.

Deep understanding of ASIC regulatory requirements and licensing processes, including AFSL.

Demonstrated experience developing compliance strategy, frameworks, and reporting tools.

Strong regulatory engagement experience and stakeholder communication skills.

Highly detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication
