Job description

This role SAP BASIS Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP system landscapes. This role involves working with clients to assess their SAP infrastructure needs, performing installations and upgrades, and ensuring system stability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP System Implementation & Configuration: Install and configure SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, etc.) based on client requirements.
  • Upgrades & Migrations: Plan and execute SAP upgrades, migrations (on-prem to cloud, HANA migration), and system refreshes.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, conduct tuning, and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
  • Security & User Management: Manage SAP security, roles, and authorizations, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
  • Transport Management System (TMS): Handle transport requests, changes, and system landscapes.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Deployments: Advise on and support SAP cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
  • Disaster Recovery & Backup Strategy: Design and implement backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaboration with Functional & Technical Teams: Work with SAP functional consultants, developers, and infrastructure teams to provide technical expertise.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Prepare system documentation and provide training to administrators and users.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years in SAP BASIS administration or consulting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and database administration.
    • Experience with OS platforms (Linux, Unix, Windows).
    • Familiarity with SAP landscape architecture and cloud solutions.
    • Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • SAP Certified Technology Associate (SAP BASIS or HANA).
    • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, client-facing, and communication skills.
