Job description

Location: India Remote

Shift Timings: IST 3:00 PM-11:00 PM or 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST

Employment Type: Contract role- 3 months extendable

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Automation QA Engineer with expertise in Selenium and Java to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing automated test scripts, contributing to the automation framework, executing test plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.

Develop, maintain and enhance test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and test coverage.

Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.

Analyze software requirements to design comprehensive test strategies and plans.

Perform integration/API, regression, functional, and end-to-end testing on web applications.

Identify, log, and track bugs using industry-standard tools.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to find and resolve issues as early as possible in SDLC.

Generate detailed test reports and metrics to measure software quality.

Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in software testing and automation.

Qualification:

3-9 years of experience in software testing and QA with a strong focus on automation.

Solid experience in Selenium WebDriver and Java programming for test automation.

Ability to implement Hybrid Automation Frameworks for web applications using Selenium, Java, TestNG, Maven, Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines.

Experience working on Page Objects Pattern, Page Factory, Data Driven Framework, Developing complex & stable web element locators

Ability to write clean, reusable, and efficient code for automation scripts.

Experience in Agile, SDLC, Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.

Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

Hands-on experience in testing/automating REST and SOAP APIs.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience in E-Commerce domain and Continuous Testing is a big plus.
