RedHat OpenShift Architect/Administrator (Freelance Remote) - full-time -part-time

MaxAccelerate is seeking talented and motivated RedHat OpenShift Administrators to join our team. We offer exciting opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects while enhancing your skills and expertise. Positions are available on a full-time freelance or part-time basis, providing flexibility to suit your schedule.

Job Description:

As a RedHat OpenShift Architect/Administrator, you will:

  • Administer and support the OpenShift Container Platform for the organization in both Azure cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Install, upgrade, and configure RedHat OpenShift.
  • Troubleshoot issues with the OpenShift platform.
  • Perform maintenance activities on clusters, including patching, configuration changes, installing operators, and managing storage classes.
  • Assist application teams in resolving issues with pods, operators, services, storage classes, CRD, etc.
  • Implement best practices to configure applications.
  • Manage service accounts, create roles, and assign roles.
  • Customize master and node configurations post-deployment of OpenShift to meet specific requirements.
  • Perform certificate management when needed.
  • Understand application development lifecycles and possess practical experience with CI/CD tools as part of the container lifecycle.
  • Design and implement solutions with operators in OpenShift for logging and monitoring the platform.

Experience:

  • Expertise with the RedHat OpenShift Container Platform.
  • Proficient in RedHat Linux administration.
  • Experience with Docker or similar container technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud PAAS/IAAS technologies.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code technologies, such as Terraform.
  • Experience in infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, etc.
  • Strong background in Linux administration, virtualization, networking, and security.
  • Experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8 is beneficial and offers a great opportunity to learn new skills.
  • Experience working with the Azure cloud platform.

Certifications:

  • RedHat certifications in Linux and OpenShift administration are preferred.
