Roles & Responsibilities

Senior Java developer with production support experience and Sev1/Sev2 incident handling
Strong customer-facing communication skills and ability to collaborate with IT and business partners, with awareness of project management methodology
Proficiency in Java/JDK and web technologies (J2EE, Servlets, JSP/JSF, EJB 2.0/3.0, Spring/Spring Boot, REST/SOAP, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, RMI, SQL/Oracle); experience with Jenkins and JIRA; AWS experience; WebSphere and BizTalk preferred but not required
Experience with full lifecycle development including unit testing, integration of components, and front-end tech (JQuery); ability to work in production support and monitor/support environments

Requirements:

Design, code, test, and maintain complex Java-based custom solutions
Develop and unit test using Java/JDK, EJB, Spring (REST with JSON), and related front-end tech (JQuery) to meet business requirements
Integrate technical and application components; participate in full software development lifecycle with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, JIRA)
Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, participate in Sev1/Sev2 incidents, and collaborate with IT and business partners on project delivery

Java Software Engineer

Location: Fully Remote

Job description
In the Client IT Economic Sanctions space, we have a need for a senior level Java developer.
Ability to provide prompt, focused and professional technical support to the business partners that leverage the system is key.
Resource should be experienced in fulfilling a customer facing role with good communication skills and a grasp of project management methodology.
Candidate must be able to work in production support with engaging with IT and Business partners on project delivery activities.
Experience in troubleshooting technology problems and active participation in Sev1/Sev2 calls.
Experience in technology operations with regards to monitoring and support.
Excellent written/verbal skills and demonstrated ability to meet commitments under pressure.

Java Web Technologies: Java/JDK ,AWS, J2EE, JDBC, Servlets, JSF, EJB 2.0/3.0, Java Beans, Spring, Jenkins, SpringBoot, RMI, JNDI, JMS, Soap/REST Web Services, SQL, Oracle Database. WebSphere and Biztalk experience preferred but not required.
