Requirements:

Develop and maintain Python applications, including upgrading legacy Python 2 code to Python 3
Design and implement REST APIs and microservices architectures
Deploy and manage services using Kubernetes on AWS
Work with MySQL, ORMs, and data stores such as Hive/Presto/Snowflake as needed

Job description

Job: Python Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: Contract
Rate: DOE

- Python (ideally both Python2 and Python3, because RP2 currently runs on Python2 but needs to be upgraded to Python3 ASAP)
- Scala (Akka experience would be a plus)
- Kubernetes (and specifically Kubernetes on AWS)
- REST APIs and microservice architectures
- MySQL and ORMs
- Datastores and query engines: Hive, Presto, and Snowflake (not essential, but would be nice)
