Roles & Responsibilities

  • Proven experience as Product Owner or in an Agile environment with backlog management and Scrum ceremonies
  • Experience in supply chain and transportation systems (preferably Manhattan TLM) and ability to elicit and translate business requirements
  • Strong requirements documentation skills (functional and non-functional) and ability to create business designs consumable by business, development, and testing
  • Stakeholder management, negotiation and facilitation skills, cross-functional collaboration and vendor management/RFP experience (including working with external vendors)

Requirements:

  • Create and document business requirements, gap analysis, and support documents for supply chain systems, specifically transportation systems (Manhattan TLM); research policies and identify changes to support revised processes; work with business/process engineering on process improvements
  • Analyze and synthesize business and IT stakeholder requirements into actionable items; ensure detailed functional and non-functional requirements and business designs meet industry best practices
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, break epics into user stories in JIRA, and participate in Scrum events (sprint planning, reviews, backlog refinement, retrospectives); arrange and prioritize sprints; provide demos
  • Facilitate cross-functional negotiation and issue resolution among stakeholders; provide walkthroughs and clarifications to Development, Testing, Communication, Learning, and Implementation teams; support RFP processes and vendor management; contribute to the product vision and roadmap

Product owner with supply chain – 100% Remote
Location - USA

Create and document Business Requirements, gap analysis and support documents for projects related to Giant Eagle Supply Chain systems, specifically Transportation systems. (Manhattan TLM)
Analyze and synthesize business and IT stakeholder requirements into actionable items.
Ensure business and system requirements are documented in the form of detailed functional and non-functional requirements and business designs, which meet industry best practices and are consumable for business teams, development, and testing.
Research existing policies, procedures, methodologies and systems that support the current state and identify changes needed to support revised processes. Work with business and process engineering to identify and build process improvements into design.
Utilize creative thinking to modify or select the most suitable procedure/approach that results in providing Pharmacy with optimum solutions to business, technology, and customer challenges
Using negotiating and facilitation skills, resolve issues across competing segments and channels to arrive at solutions that meet the needs of all stakeholders. Actively manage business teams expectations on the work package and the initiative overall where providing support.
Support the work packages for the Development, Testing, Communication, Learning, and Implementation teams by conducting walkthroughs, providing clarification and
Work for consensus and contribute to achievement of team/group goals.
Provide support in RFP process and vendor management.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes to supply chain system or processes
  • Working with stakeholders from different business units to develop analyses and requirement documentation
  • Developing and monitoring data quality metrics
  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog
  • Participate in scrum events - sprint planning, reviews, refine product backlog & retrospectives
  • Breaking product epics into user stories for tracking in JIRA
  • Arranging and prioritizing sprints
  • Evaluating progress at each stage of development
  • User stories demo for feedback
  • Answering dev questions on user stories or tasks
  • Contributing to the vision & the roadmap
