Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of proven experience in sales, client management, or marketing within the professional services or consulting space
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics, including lead generation, proposal development, and client engagement, with proven ability to analyze and improve sales processes
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization

Requirements:

  • Assess current sales processes: critically review existing sales strategies, processes, and client engagement methods; identify strengths and areas for improvement; produce a status report
  • Develop targeted sales tactics: collaborate with the resilience services team to create strategies and tactics to improve win rates, including lead generation, enhancement of sales pitches/materials, objection handling, and a defined follow-up process; propose innovative lead generation approaches; deliver detailed recommendations
  • Establish performance metrics: set key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies
  • Documentation and reporting: provide regular updates on progress; document strategies implemented and lessons learned

Sales Tactics Specialist
Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Remote



JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • We are seeking a temporary skilled /experienced sales strategy consultant to improve our sales tactics and increase our win rate.
  • The consultant will work closely with our resilience services team to analyze current sales processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement / document effective strategies.
  • Much of the foundational work has already been completed, this is an action-oriented role to critically analyze our current process and identify opportunities for improvement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess Current Sales Processes:
    • Critically review existing sales strategies, processes, and client engagement methods (internal and external)
    • Identify strengths and areas for improvement.
    • Report of current status
  • Develop Targeted Sales Tactics:
    • Collaborate with the RS team to create targeted sales strategies and tactics aimed at improving win rates, including:
    • Internal and External Lead Generation (including direct with clients, through brokers, cold calling, internal awareness raising with underwriters / risk engineering)
    • Review and enhancement of sales pitch and presentation materials (for different sales channels - focus on differentiators and urgency)
    • Objection handing
    • Define a Follow-Up Process
    • Propose innovative approaches for lead generation and customer acquisition.
    • Output: Detailed recommendations for improvement
Performance Metrics:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Provide regular updates and reports on progress and recommendations for ongoing adjustments.
    • Create comprehensive documentation of strategies implemented and lessons learned.
SKILLS:
  • Strong knowledge of sales strategies and tactics. (Examples as part of interview? Good idea)
  • Experience in start-up environments is a bonus, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a complex matrix organization
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders (including internal and external).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's and / or master's degree in business / marketing / finance or related field
  • 10+ years proven experience in sales / Client / marketing in the professional services / consulting space
  • Experience working with insurance and / or climate space a bonus (state industries worked in as part of application)
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics, including lead generation, proposal development, and client engagement, with demonstrated ability to analyze and improve sales processes (will need specific examples for interview - not sure how much is the right amount here).
