Job description

Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: Long-term Contract

Job Description

Build a fully touchless CI/CD pipeline, enabling automated deployments from commit → production.
Consolidate repositories into GitHub and standardize branching / governance.
Implement quality gates, smoke/regression automation, canary deployments, and observability standards.
Integrate pipelines with LaunchDarkly-led feature flag rollouts.
Design, build, and maintain the automated CI/CD pipeline, ensuring zero-touch deployment flow.
Develop integrations for automated testing (smoke, regression, functional, performance).
Implement and support canary release patterns, deployment orchestration, and monitoring automation.
Migrate existing services and pipelines to a unified GitHub and CI/CD architecture.
Improve pipeline resilience, auditability, reliability, and rollback mechanisms.
Partner closely with the Lead Developer driving LaunchDarkly adoption.
Ensure compliance with DevOps best practices, quality gates, and deployment governance.
Troubleshoot build failures, pipeline bottlenecks, and environment configuration issues.
Promote continuous improvement of DevOps tooling and processes.
Cross-collaborate with developers, architects, and QA to streamline delivery flows.

Qualifications

Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).
Proficiency with GitHub and modern repository workflows.
Experience designing zero-touch / touchless orchestration pipelines.
Strong automation experience in build, test, and deployment pipelines.
Experience with containerization, orchestration, or service-based architectures (Kubernetes a plus).
Solid understanding of:- Smoke/regression automation integration
Canary deployments and progressive rollouts
Monitoring and observability tooling
Proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Python, Groovy, etc.).
Ability to troubleshoot CI/CD failures rapidly with strong debugging skills.
Knowledge of cloud platforms supporting CI/CD workflows.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) preferred.
Proven experience contributing to large-scale DevOps or platform engineering transformation efforts.
