We are currently partnering with a fast-growing advisory firm to recruit a Senior Innovation & Tax Incentives Consultant to help launch and scale a new business line focused on R&D tax credits, innovation incentives, public funding and energy efficiency schemes.

The role

This is a high-impact role within an entrepreneurial environment, offering real ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to build something from the ground up. This position combines technical expertise, client advisory and commercial drive. You will play a central role in shaping the strategy, delivery and growth of the practice.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the development of Client’s innovation and tax incentives business line.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in R&D tax credits, innovation incentives, public funding and energy efficiency schemes.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of client engagements: eligibility assessment, proposal preparation, technical documentation, submission and follow-up.

  • Prepare and review technical reports and supporting documentation for tax authorities and public agencies.

  • Work closely with tax advisors, engineers and legal partners to ensure compliance and defensibility of claims.

  • Develop commercial proposals and fee structures (including success fee models).

  • Maintain relationships with clients, public authorities and strategic partners.

  • Monitor regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions.

  • Support the future recruitment and mentoring of junior consultants.

Profile

  • University degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Energy), Physics, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent. Master’s degree in Innovation, Tax, Finance or Business Administration is a plus.

Who we’re looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in R&D tax incentives, innovation funding or related advisory

  • Strong knowledge of tax incentive regimes and public funding mechanisms

  • Comfortable reviewing financial statements and assessing technical eligibility

  • Client-facing experience with commercial awareness

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership

  • Fluent English is mandatory
