The Program Manager I will lead multiple client-facing projects across our scientific portfolio. This role is responsible for driving successful project execution from contract through delivery, ensuring strong financial performance, operational excellence, and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with experience managing concurrent, complex projects in a science-driven environment. This individual will serve as a key operational partner to project teams and clients, strengthening execution discipline and contributing to scalable delivery practices across our scientific solutions.

Job Responsibilities:
- Program & Project Planning and Execution
- Accountable for the completion of multiple concurrent client-facing projects across the company’s scientific portfolio, providing guidance and support to junior team members
- Facilitate internal and external project meetings to monitor progress, decisions and issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Foster collaboration, accountability and high-performance team dynamics
- Adhere to established governance structures to ensure alignment, transparency, and disciplined execution
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Serve as point of contact for project status updates with clients and internal stakeholders
- Provide clear, audience-appropriate reporting on milestones, risks, financial performance, and overall portfolio health
- Secure commitment from team leads on deliverables and key milestones
- Build trust and credibility with clients, vendors and cross-functional teams
- Tailor communication appropriately for scientific teams, leadership, and external stakeholders
- Service Delivery and Operational Alignment
- Drive alignment of project goals with client requirements and contractual commitments
- Optimize the service delivery processes to enhance consistency and efficiency
- Work closely with development teams or scientific teams to support effective execution and communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Prioritize service projects alongside service teams, ensuring client and business needs are aligned
- Support contract planning by offering insights to improve project profitability and delivery timing
- Ensure quality standards align with service deliverable expectations
- Align portfolio solutions with the organizational strategy and corporate vision
- Risk, Change and Issue Management
- Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies to protect delivery, scope, resources and financial performance
- Manage scope changes and ensure alignment between client expectations and internal capabilities
- Escalate significant risks, resource constraints or delivery concerns to operations leadership, when necessary
- Address conflicts or disagreements within the project team and facilitate resolution or escalate, if needed
- Communicate changes in project direction, scope adjustments, or resource reallocations to the team and obtain internal stakeholder alignment
- Financial and Performance Management
- Develop and maintain project revenue forecasts and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Track and report key performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
- Drive standardization of processes and knowledge sharing across service solutions to enhance efficiency and consistency

Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive project or program management experience in scientific, technical, or regulated environments
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Job related experience using AI or GenAI required
- Experience leveraging AI tools or agents to streamline repeatable tasks
- Experience leading initiatives involving AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Advanced computer skills including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and project management software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong stakeholder management and strategic decision making skills
- Proven ability to influence without authority
- Working knowledge of financial principles, including budgeting and forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain professionalism in interactions with colleagues and clients
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field
- Master’s degree in business, science, or related field a plus
