Job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team!


This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an international client base, fully remotely from anywhere in South Africa, with the option for a coworking space if preferred.


The responsibilities would include:



Take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all financial records.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciling statements and ensuring invoices are processed efficiently.

Maintain general ledgers, perform reconciliations, and monitor cash flow.

Support month-end and year-end reporting, preparing clear financial statements for management.

Collaborate with international clients, ensuring compliance with agreed processes and timelines.

Assist with payroll processing and tax submissions where required.

Identify process improvements and help implement efficient bookkeeping systems.

Work independently, managing your own workload while coordinating with the wider team as needed.


Requirements


Proven bookkeeping experience (minimum 2 years), ideally with some international exposure.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficient in accounting software (Xero preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients professionally.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to work remotely with minimal supervision.
