Description

We’re on the hunt for a sharp, business-minded technologist to join our team as our next Sales Engineer, owning the technical side of the sales cycle and helping enterprise partners bring complex payment solutions to life.

As our Sales Engineer, you will serve as the technical authority throughout the sales process, from early discovery conversations to solution design and deal closure. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure architectures, design tailored payment flows, and demonstrate how our APIs and integrations power real-world use cases. Working closely with Sales, Product, Risk, and Engineering, you will ensure every solution is technically sound, commercially aligned, and built for long-term success.

This is a remote-first role.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Own the technical execution of the B2B sales cycle, from discovery and solution design to proof of concept and deal closure
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand prospects’ payment flows, integration requirements, compliance constraints, and risk considerations
  • Design and present end-to-end payment architectures, including APIs, data flows, and system integrations
  • Deliver tailored product demos, technical presentations, and POCs that clearly articulate business and technical value
  • Act as the subject matter expert on payments, security, PCI, fraud prevention, and system reliability
  • Support enterprise processes such as RFPs, security questionnaires, and compliance reviews
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Risk, and Engineering to align customer needs with product capabilities and roadmap
  • Identify product gaps, edge cases, and integration challenges, and provide structured, actionable feedback to Product teams
  • Build and maintain technical sales assets, reusable demo environments, and documentation
  • Independently manage multiple deals and stakeholders as a standalone Sales Engineer


Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer in a B2B environment
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and SDKs with hands-on API integration experience 
  • Solid JavaScript knowledge and technical understanding of frontend and or mobile development
  • Proven experience designing technical solutions for complex customer requirements
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and enterprise deal cycles
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving integration challenges
  • Experience mentoring junior Sales Engineers
  • Can duel-wield colossal weapons

  • Experience in payments and/or the gaming industry
  • Familiarity with merchant-of-record models
