Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Consultant

About the position::

Velosio is looking for a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Consultant to be an integral member of the DPS Team. 

 

As a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Consultant at Velosio, you will lead the implementation of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting solutions with our small to enterprise-level clients across a broad spectrum of industries. You will interface with client personnel from C-Level individuals to staff analysts during the deployment of selected software solutions. There is a heavy focus on accounting and finance conversancy applied to client business opportunities. The consultant must have a great level of interest in the intricacy of business operation and process as it relates to reporting and budgeting with an ability to articulate the value-proposition of CPM tools.  Confidence and excellent listening and communication skills are requisites to success. The consultant will work both in a team environment as well as an individual contributor.

Your day might look like::

• Performing discovery and requirements gathering with clients on the reports and visualizations required to support decision making
• Performing discovery and requirements with clients on the budget templates needed to capture the information required to support the budget and forecast process
• Build, test, and deliver reports and templates
• Train end-user clients on the use of the tools deployed and on the reports and templates developed  
• Assistance in the install of various CPM solutions
• Develop level of effort estimates to create report and budget templates
• Provide assessments on the selection and use of CPM tools

What you'll bring::

• BS or MS degree in Accounting or Finance
• 6+ years of increased focus on data, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Deep Microsoft Excel Skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
• Knowledge, or interest in learning, GAAP reporting, IFRS reporting, operational reporting, management reporting, and audit-based reporting
• Knowledge, or interest in learning, budget and forecast approaches like zero-based budgeting, driver-based budgeting, and sensitivity analysis

You might also bring:

• Knowledge of CPM tools such as Solver, Jet, Cosmos, Prophix, Vena, Anaplan, Cognos, Hyperion, or Planful
• Knowledge of bottoms-up, top-down, zero-based budgeting techniques
• Knowledge or conversancy on best-practices forecasting techniques
• Microsoft technical certifications.
• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Process-oriented with great documentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service.
• Conversancy and exposure to:

  • Azure SQL
  • SSIS
  • Azure Machine Learning
  • Azure Cognitive Services
