Job description

This is a remote position.

Overview :

The Azure Data Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data architectures using Azure-native services. This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance data platforms, defining robust data frameworks, and partnering with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable data solutions.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience designing end-to-end data architectures using Azure-native services such as Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
Hands-on expertise in data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration frameworks.

Hands on experience in building Insurance specific data models

Proven ability to optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Experience establishing data governance and architectural best practices.
Solid understanding of distributed data processing concepts.
Ability to collaborate with business and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable data architectures.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
Experience defining and enforcing best practices for Databricks workloads and Spark-based pipelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable architecture design.
Excellent communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional stakeholders.

Prior experience in working in Insurance P&C cloud based data & analytics projects
