Job description

Data Architect (1 Year contract)
Engagement: Strategic Project / Consultancy

Our client is an ambitious, high-growth organisation operating within the property sector,
currently undertaking a significant transformation of its internal data environment.
As the business scales, critical operational and people-related data (including onboarding,
role changes, performance metrics, commissions, and KPIs) is distributed across multiple
spreadsheets and systems. There is no consolidated data architecture or single source of
truth, limiting reporting accuracy, scalability, and strategic insight.
We have been exclusively retained to appoint an experienced Data Architect to conduct a
full assessment of the current landscape and design a future-proof, scalable data
architecture to support long-term growth.
This is a strategic design-led assignment. The successful candidate will define the
blueprint and roadmap, with implementation delivered by internal stakeholders and/or
external partners.

Key Responsibilities
● Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing data ecosystem, including
spreadsheets, CRM platforms, and operational systems
● Define and design a “single source of truth” for employee/agent data and associated
business metrics
● Architect a scalable data framework, including:
○ Core data models
○ System integrations and data flows
○ Governance, ownership, and data quality standards
● Provide recommendations on appropriate technologies (databases, data
warehouses, integration tools, and SaaS vs custom solutions)
● Produce clear and robust documentation, including:
○ Target-state architecture diagrams
○ Data models and definitions

○ Integration and migration roadmap
● Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and technical teams throughout the
transformation journey

Candidate Profile

● Significant experience in Data Architecture, Data Strategy, or Integration Leadership
roles
● Demonstrated track record of:
○ Consolidating fragmented data environments
○ Designing and implementing single source of truth solutions
○ Working with complex operational and commercial data
● Strong expertise in data modelling, data warehousing, and system integrations
● Ability to translate business challenges into structured, scalable data solutions
● Confident engaging with non-technical stakeholders at senior level
● Experience supporting growing or scaling organisations
● Background in transformation or change programmes highly desirable
● Property / real estate sector experience advantageous but not essential
