Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Close: Owns the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, delivering accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with US GAAP.
- Technical Accounting: Researches and resolves complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, and multi-entity consolidation.
- Team Leadership & Review: Supervises and mentors accounting staff, delegating work and reviewing reconciliations, AP/AR, and payroll to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Internal Controls & Audit: Establishes, monitors, and improves internal controls, and acts as the primary contact for external US audits.
- Strategic Planning: Develops budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, and analyzes variances to support executive decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Optimizes the accounting technology stack (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, Bill.com) to drive efficiency and automation.
- Compliance: Ensures compliance with US federal, state, and local tax requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- License: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), with strong knowledge of US GAAP preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or controller-level role, preferably in a US-based company or BPO setting.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero, and advanced Microsoft Excel (modeling, lookups, pivot tables).
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for presenting to US management.
- Work Schedule: Willingness to work US business hours (night shift in the Philippines)
