Director Accounting (Remote)

The Accounting Director will assist in leading the Accounting Team. You will be accountable for timely and accurate month end close and review of account reconciliations. You will recommend and develop policies, procedures, and systems to ensure proper accounting controls and audit compliance. You will provide for the proper staffing and servicing of all operations within responsibility.
As a Director Accounting, you will
Meet or exceed Accounting department budget targets
Support management by identifying areas to increase ebitda
Continuously improve processes to minimize costs
Provide expertise and develop procedures to ensure department maintains strong internal controls environment in compliance with internal policies, IFRS, and GAP requirements
Guide the monthly close and account reconciliation process
Review all balance sheet account reconciliations and provide commentary on balances that indicate unusual fluctuations
Identify and maintain key controls, document processes and controls, and with guidance from GHQ ensure changes are reflected in existing documentation

About You
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent experience)
Extensive accounting experience with a few years of experience in public accounting and audit
Proven history of establishing and adhering to accounting controls and ensuring audit compliance
Proficiency with ERPs and Excel required
CPA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficiency in PeopleSoft and/or SAP is preferred
