Data Protection & Virtualization Engineer

Centex Technologies is seeking a Data Protection & Virtualization Engineer to support mission-critical systems at Army HRC. You will engineer and operate Dell Data Domain, Dell Avamar, and VMware virtualization to ensure secure and highly available data services.

This position requires:

• US citizenship
• Active DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Design and administer Dell Data Domain and Avamar backup and recovery solutions.
• Support VMware virtualization, including resource allocation, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Coordinate storage and network configurations needed for data protection.
• Monitor backup activities, troubleshoot failures, and perform restores as needed.
• Implement security and compliance requirements across data protection and virtualization platforms.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and run books.

• 5+ years of experience with enterprise backup technologies (Data Domain, Avamar, or equivalent).
• 4+ years of VMware virtualization experience.
• Active Secret clearance and onsite availability at Fort Knox, KY.
• Strong storage and networking fundamentals.
• Solid troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred

• Relevant Dell backup or VMware certifications.
• Experience in DoD environments and knowledge of DISA or RMF.
