Our client is a leading UK-based logistics provider with a strong reputation in international freight forwarding. Their air and sea division delivers tailored import and export solutions across global markets, supported by a robust worldwide partner network and in-house customs expertise. Known for their customer-first approach, operational reliability and continued investment in people and technology, our client offers end-to-end freight solutions for businesses of all sizes.

The Role

This is a senior, high-impact new business role within the air and sea division, targeting mid-market customers across the UK. Operating remotely on a national remit, the role is heavily focused on pure new business acquisition, opening doors, disrupting incumbents, and converting complex freight opportunities into long-term, high-value accounts. The successful candidate will be commercially driven, relentless in pursuit of growth, and confident leading senior-level sales conversations, with the autonomy and backing to build a substantial pipeline and deliver significant revenue.

The Person

  • UK-based and able to operate remotely with a national sales remit
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a senior business development / strategic sales role within freight forwarding
  • Proven track record of winning new business in air and/or sea freight (strength in one can outweigh the other)
  • Strong experience selling to mid-market customers, with the ability to break into established accounts and displace incumbent providers
  • Commercially driven, hunter-minded, and motivated by revenue growth and margin performance
  • Confident engaging at senior stakeholder level, leading complex and value-led sales conversations
  • Able to build and manage a robust pipeline from scratch, with disciplined forecasting and deal control
  • Self-sufficient, resilient, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote role
  • Strong understanding of international freight solutions, pricing structures, and end-to-end supply chain concepts
  • Experience in the Air Express industry or freight forward industry would be beneficial

The Package

Our client offers an excellent package detailed below:

  • £50,000 - £65,000 basic based on previous experience
  • Competitive commission % for new business + bonus
  • Company car, phone and laptop.
  • Monday – Friday – standard working hours, remote
