⭐ Role Overview
Lodgify is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team and play a vital role in building and managing our modern data platform.
This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure, enabling data-driven decisions across the company.
⭐ How will you make an impact?Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure using our core data stackImplement data quality checks, monitoring, and contribute to data governance practicesDevelop and optimise data models using dbt for analytics and operational use casesTroubleshoot data issues, potentially assisting with tracking implementation problemsEnsure data infrastructure supports downstream consumers, including analytics and potentially future AI/ML initiativesCollaborate with analysts and stakeholders to ensure data accessibility for visualisation and operational syncing (Hightouch)Optimise performance and cost-efficiency of the data platformMentor team members and promote data engineering best practices.⭐ What makes you a great fit?7+ years in data engineering, with significant hands-on experience using modern data stack toolsAdvanced SQL, proficient Python for data engineering tasks, strong data modeling and warehousing fundamentalsProven experience with tools like orchestration (e.g., mage.ai, Airflow), dbt, ELT solutions (e.g., Fivetran, Airbyte)Experience with a cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure)Track record of building and maintaining reliable, end-to-end data pipelines in productionAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate technical conceptsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.⭐ How can you earn extra bonus points?Knowledge of JavaScript/Frontend for tracking and troubleshootingExperience with BI/visualisation toolsFamiliarity with Machine Learning concepts and the data requirements for training and deploying modelsFamiliarity with event-driven architectures or data privacy regulations (GDPR)SaaS or Travel/Hospitality industry experience.Why you’ll love us:
