$70 to $80 per hour contract with a conversion salary of $160K to $165K annually + bonus

Summary
The Senior Security Analyst will play a critical role in building and maturing a growing security program within a cloud-first, SaaS-focused environment. Reporting to the Director of Information Security, this role serves as a hands-on technical lead and player-coach, owning security operations, leading key initiatives, and mentoring junior team members. The position offers high autonomy, strong visibility, and the opportunity to directly shape security posture and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day security operations, including investigations, alert tuning, and incident response
• Act as a technical lead and mentor to junior and mid-level security team members
• Support a hybrid SOC model and help transition security operations in-house
• Lead security initiatives such as firewall modernization and operational automation
• Own incident response decisions and provide security guidance to stakeholders
• Secure cloud environments across AWS and Azure using native tooling
• Participate in risk assessments, including SOC and NIST-aligned evaluations
• Support application security and secure SDLC practices
• Contribute to governance, risk, and compliance efforts and executive reporting

• 8+ years of hands-on information security experience
• Strong firewall engineering experience (Palo Alto preferred)
• SIEM/SOC experience (Sentinel or Splunk preferred)
• Experience with security investigations and operational response
• Cloud security experience in AWS and Azure environments
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and SOC 2
• Scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Terraform or similar)
• Application security knowledge and SaaS environment experience
• Familiarity with GRC concepts and risk assessment frameworks
• Ability to lead initiatives and work independently

• Penetration testing or development background
• AI-driven security automation experience
• Cisco security tools
• Jira (ITSM) and KnowBe4 experience
