Technical Sales Representative
Location: Remote with up to 50% travel | Industry: Capital Equipment / Manufacturing
Can reside in Phoenix, AZ or Salt Lake City, UT or Las Vegas, NV

Are you a driven, technically inclined sales professional who thrives on solving problems and closing high-value deals? A growing, innovative organization is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to drive business development and account growth across a large territory. This role is ideal for a self-starter with experience selling capital equipment and a consultative approach to delivering customer solutions.

This position involves a 50/50 focus on acquiring new customers and expanding relationships with existing accounts. The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and building relationships to presenting solutions and closing deals. A mix of inherited accounts and self-generated leads will support success in this role, with ample opportunity to impact revenue growth and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and close new business opportunities while nurturing existing accounts

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets

  • Conduct prospecting activities including cold/warm calls, networking, and referrals

  • Deliver tailored value-based solutions based on technical and business needs

  • Accurately maintain CRM records and manage sales reporting

  • Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to align customer strategies

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of successful capital equipment sales experience (deal size $100K–$200K+)

  • Technically savvy with a mechanical or industrial background

  • Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and build executive-level relationships

  • Experience with consultative selling and delivering measurable customer value

  • Ability to travel up to 50% and reside near a major airport

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (not required) and experience with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
