Roles & Responsibilities

  • Motor industry-related experience (e.g., motor retailer, insurance or finance industry regional sales)
  • Account management experience in a regional role
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills across all levels
  • UK driving license with strong IT skills (Salesforce experience advantageous)

Requirements:

  • Regularly contact retailers within the designated area, develop relationships with key decision-makers, and promote Assurant products and services to improve clients' sales volumes of ancillary products
  • Arrange and deliver regular training and development visits with retailers; review mandatory product sales versus upsell opportunities and implement remedial training as needed
  • Oversee daily operations with assigned accounts to deliver an exceptional service experience; review Sales/Aftersales processes to avoid vehicle registrations with known concerns and manage actions to control Target Loss Ratio spend
  • Handle product queries from retailer staff and collaborate with Clients, Assurant personnel and other parties to resolve problems; produce weekly visit reports detailing actions agreed with retailer management

Client Development Manager, Automotive

United Kingdom; remote working covering an area from Leeds to Maidstone

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced Client Development Manager to join our Motor Corporate team. Reporting to the Corporate Sales Director, you will regularly contact all retailers within your designated area. Develop professional relationships with important decision makers, to profitably promote Assurant products and services to improve clients sales volumes of ancillary products

  • Arrange and deliver regular training and development visits with Retailers

  • Review and report Mandatory product sales versus the Upsell Opportunity.

  • Agree any actions necessary with retailer management to improve their current product performance and deliver remedial training

  • Oversee daily operations with assigned accounts with an eye to delivering an unparalleled service experience. Review Sales / Aftersales processes to ensure products are not being registered on vehicles with known concerns giving rise to high loss ratios.

  • Agree an action plan with retailer management outlining the findings of the review and the actions to be taken to bring TLR (Target Loss Ratio) spend under control.

  • Handle product queries from retailer staff.

  • To collaborate with Clients, Assurant personnel and other parties to resolve problems.

  • Weekly itineraries are planned in advance and following retailer visits, produce a visit report detailing any actions agreed with retailer management.

Key Skills:

  • Motor Industry related experience is an advantage i.e. Motor retailer Business Manager, insurance or finance industry regional sales environment.

  • Account Management experience in a regional role

  • Promote Assurant and our clients goals in a positive manner with the minimum of guidance.

  • Experience presenting and communicating at all levels

  • Experience with planning and organizing with the ability to stay away from home

  • UK Driving license.

  • Excellent IT skills. Experience using Salesforce is an advantage

  • Experience delivering training in an omni-channel environment
