Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a Full-Time Career Coach to be part of our rapidly growing Career Services Team. We are looking for a well organized, detail oriented, and data driven professional that comes with strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and adapt to change quickly. Seeking employment can be challenging, so our Career Coach will support our students until he or she has a job. The Career Services team provides high quality 1:1 coaching for our students to set Career goals, administers workshops that include topics such as Resume Writing, Social Media etiquette, and how to conduct an effective interview and is able to maintain accurate notes.

Responsibilities Include:
● Build rapid rapport with our students to allow guidance/direction and feedback through phone, Zoom, email.
● Educate/Equip students with the necessary tools to land opportunities in their career search (eg. Mock Interviewing, Resume revising, Social media etiquette/Linkedin review, job hunt strategy development).
● Ability to coach students through their job search, persist in the event of roadblocks, set realistic career goals, prep for current interviews, and provide resume revisions.
● Hold students accountable for deadlines pertaining to workshop services (eg.Resume revisions, updating social media platforms, scheduling interviews).
● Ability to maintain accurate and timely notes and record of work in a CRM system.
● Work cross-functionally with the Employer Relations team to source candidates and help identify opportunities that meet the needs and skills of our students and graduates.
Career Coach should have the following:
● A background in coaching, career counseling, education, or psychology.
● Ability to build rapid rapport and trust with students across diverse backgrounds and abilities.
● Ability to provide guidance/direction/coaching to students and graduates in their career search by helping the student/graduate identify areas where they excel and areas where they need improvement.
● Naturally show empathy with student career goals and success.
● You have technical aptitude and can pick up new software and technologies easily.
● You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● You are passionate or interested in learning about the tech landscape and programs that ThriveDX offers.
● You have experience working in a remote environment and/or a fast paced environment.
